Caroline Voagen Nelson is a New York-based artist and curator working in digital art, animation, and installation. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and printed in publications nationally and internationally, most recently at Sotheby’s Institute of Art. Nelson's practice has evolved from deconstructing urban environments in photomontage to creating animations inspired by American history and fabricated mythologies. In collaging elements, she researches historical archives to create landscapes inspired by the past and spaces in transition. She received her undergraduate degree at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and recently received her masters in Digital Arts at Pratt Institute.
