Symbols from the Suffrage Movement

Sunflowers were adopted as symbols of the Suffrage Movement during a Kansas campaign in 1867. It was also Elizabeth Cady Stanton’s pseudonym pen name in the Suffragist newspaper The Lily. The flower was used nationwide as a suffragist symbol in logos, pins, and marketing materials.
